All the MUST HAVE Blood and Urine tests.

Full Blood Count

Measures the components of your blood such as white blood cells, red blood cells, and more. The most essential test is to evaluate your overall health and detect a wide range of diseases such as infections, anemia, and leukemia.

Liver Function Test

The Liver performs diverse and vital functions in our bodies from helping us break down food in digestion to ridding our bodies of toxins. It does that with the help of enzymes (ALT, AST, GGT) and proteins (albumin) and produces waste products (such as bilirubin), Liver function tests can be used to detect if the levels of these are normal in your body.

Renal Profile

The kidneys keep our bodies clean from toxins and other waste products such as :

1. Creatinine : a waste product that is produced continuously during normal muscle breakdown. Abnormal values may indicate reduced kidney function.

2. Urea : a waste product from breaking down proteins in the liver. which the kidneys filter out. Abnormal levels can indicate that either the kidneys or liver are not functioning well, OR that other conditions such as gastrointestinal bleeding are present.

Fasting Glucose

Glucose is the body's primary source of fuel, but too much of it can cause weight gain and cardiovascular problems. Healthy levels are key for maintaining your energy levels on an ongoing basis as well as for your long-term health.

Lipids

Cholesterol is an essential structural component of your cell membranes. Your liver makes all the cholesterol you need, but we also obtain cholesterol via food. Too much of it can build up in our arteries and cause serious long-term health effects. Cholesterol moves through your body while inside lipoproteins such as HDL and LDL which should be monitored regularly.

HDL : so-called 'good cholesterol' - it transports cholesterol to your liver to be expelled from your body. We need to make sure you have enough of this and the high the number the better.

LDL : the 'bad cholesterol' - it takes cholesterol to your arteries where it may build up on the inner walls and cause blockages. The lower this number, the better.

Triglycerides : the main form of fat in the body. when your body needs more energy and doesn't have enough glucose in the blood, it uses triglycerides.
