I'm Covid-19 Positive! What Should I Do?


New Isolation Period For Positive Covid-19 Cases and Quarantine Period For Close Contact.

If you have been tested Positive for Covid -19 by RT-PCR or RTK, or you have close contact with someone who is Positive, you have to follow the new isolation and quarantine period from MOH Malaysia effective from 17th February 2022.





For Positive cases :

  1. Completed Booster Dose: 7 Days of isolation

  2. Completed 2 Dose of vaccination: 7 Days of isolation

  3. Incomplete or no vaccination: 10 Days of Isolation


Depending on your symptoms (Category 2b, 3 & 4) you may or may not need to repeat a RT-PCR or RTK. The most important thing to do is to update your MySejahtera and follow the To-Do list daily.


If your symptoms are serious, please visit a hospital or Clinical Assessment Center (CAC)

Eg : Trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, inability to wake or stay awake, or any color changes (Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds).

For Close Contact :


1) Received Booster Dose: 5 days of quarantine.

- If no Symptoms, no test needed, release after day 5 of quarantine.

- If Symptomatic, You have to do self-test RTK, if positive have to follow the positive case management procedures.

-Release on Day 5.


2) Completed 2 Dose of vaccination: 7 days of quarantine.

- If no Symptoms, no test needed, release after day 7 of quarantine.

- If Symptomatic, You have to do self-test RTK, if positive have to follow the positive case management procedures.

-Release on Day 7.


3) Incomplete or no vaccination: 10 days of quarantine.

- If no Symptoms, no test needed, release after day 10 of quarantine.

- If Symptomatic, You have to do self-test RTK, if positive have to follow the positive case management procedures.

-Release on Day 10


You should complete the quarantine period even if your RTK Antigen test result is negative OR asymptomatic.
